In the previous post I shared with you my venture doing press at Lisa Raye’s party. As we should all know, life is about learning as we go. I was called at the last minute to show up to this gala event so I didn’t have much time to prepare to step out on the runway amongst stars and press.
What I learned from this experience is that you must always try to be your best. You never know what God has in store for you (no one can stop your destiny). When I got the call, I thought, “Cool! But oh no!” My hair was a mess and standing under all those lights was soooo(I’m always hot anyway)HOTT, which didn’t make it any better.
On the very bright side, I met a bunch of great people and they started taking pics of me. Like I said, it was hot and although I wished that I had stepped out the house that day looking like a star, I didn’t care about how I looked once I got there because I was there to work. 🙂
In spite of everything, it was an amazing experience for me and I didn’t regret it one bit. However, I will have water and will go to the restroom to powder my nose before I let anyone snap shots of me next time…lol. Best believe! Until next time!
Tip: Remember to stay ready so you don’t have to get ready…
