“Dealing with challenging people helps build character” Joel Ostean

What I’ve learned…

I feel that no one in this world is perfect. Everyone has had a bad year or two in their life, but it’s nothing to be ashamed of. If life were perfect, then no would need to have faith to believe in their hearts desires. When blessings happen, you know that it had to be God that heard your prayers.

There are things in my life that I have been ashamed of but not anymore. God is the only judge of me and it took me a long time to realize that. I’ve also learned not to sweat the small stuff when it comes to people. They are who they are and you can’t change that, so just find a world where you feel safe and seclude yourself there. Your happiness is what’s important, not pleasing others. I aim to please God.

Nothing happens for me without Him. Life is only going to get better for me. I’ve realized the more challenges that come my way, the more blessings in store for ME.

Tip of the day: Remember where God has brought you, then you’ll know how far he can take you…

When you’re thinking about your silly problems you check yourself quick when something crazy happens. I still can’t believe what happened to those innocent children in Connecticut!  I love my girls so much that I couldn’t even imagine being without them. Someone who can hurt an innocent child that’s helpless is evil and cruel. My heart goes out to their families.

Remember to not focus on the petty things around us, focus on being true and thankful to the people in our lives that matter. We never know.

Keep them in your prayers.

This week has been completely busy for me. Between going to my daughters Christmas program/party, working and remolding my other daughters room I haven’t had much time to sit and collect my thoughts. Hope you guys had a great week and I’ll catch up with you Monday.

Sometimes it’s fun to add a little pazaz to your neck. Wear a blingy necklace underneath a button down blouse.

A crew neck top is when I always take advantage of wearing a statement necklace.

If there is embellishment’s on your blouse, it’s best to keep the neck plain so you won’t take the focus off of the center piece which in this case is the top. If I don’t have much going on on the neck I almost always wear a arm party.

This necklace is one of my favorites. It added a unexpected touch to this otherwise simple dress.

Lastly, mix and match bold colors. Remember fashion is about having fun and experimenting. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but you’ll never know unless you try right?

dinnerPan fry your sea bass with a little olive oil, season to taste.

dinnerPut fish in the oven while you prepare the sauce. Ciabatta bread is so good and works well with this dish. We placed a couple pieces in the oven as well to warm up.

dinnerBehind the scenes.

dinnerThe sauce that goes on top of the sea bass requires you to sauté red bell peppers, garlic, red onions, shiitake mushrooms in butter then add cream and let simmer. Add parsley and one juiced lemon right before you serve.

dinnerAll Done!

My friend from over at Indulgent Occasions came over to help me step by step how to prepare this fish. It’s a very popular request when she’s private chefing. If you have any ideas that you’d like for me to try feel free to email me. Have a great day and enjoy your dinner!

my prayer

my prayer

The holiday giveaway has now ended. I said I was only going to do one but after reading all my emails I decided to help 4 families. My friend decided to help two families as well. In all we will be helping 6 families this Christmas and I’m so happy that I’m able too.

It’s funny how when you help some people, they aren’t always receptive to wanting to give back. Now I’m not saying these families won’t help, I’m just stating facts from my past experiences where I’ve seen others take and not give back. You don’t necessarily have to give as far as monetary. You can give back with your time (your time is valuable), by speaking to someone and just listening. You can help with giving away some things you already have or you can just smile and give someone a hug. These small things sometimes mean more to people than money.

Next year I really want to change some things about myself for the better. I want to give a little more. I’m going to try and be more selective with the frivolous things that I may purchase sometimes just because I can. I guess I’ve always felt that as long as I save I can do whatever I want with my extra cash, but when I see how grateful some people are for $100 and how far they can  make it go, it makes me want to try to be a little more mindful of my spending. It won’t happen overnight but at least I’m trying. I’m just growing, learning and sharing. Thanks for listening.

I am grateful to all my readers that have helped me do better and have been watching me grow these past 3 years. HAVE A BLESSED DAY EVERYONE!

A lot of young girls follow my blog and a couple asked me to do a post about hygiene.I’ve been around some people that were women that didn’t take care of their hygiene and it wasn’t a pleasant smell! Hygiene is very important, especially around the time of the month. Hope you like my product pics.

I soak for a sec, then I wash the lower part of my body with Vagisil. Then I use the stuff that smells good on the upper part of my body. I then take Bath and Body works body scrub and rub it on my back, legs and arms until the scrub dissolves. This leaves my skin soft. Sometimes I’ll add a little baby oil gel then I won’t put lotion on. I like a therapeutic smell so I’ll put a little Aroma Therapy lotion from bath and body works as well. That’s about it. Hope you enjoy!

I love baths! I take a bath everyday. Not as relaxing as this one but I do.

Why is it that men know how to manipulate a woman and have her feeling so insecure that she constantly second guesses herself. Why is that when a women knows a man is a loser she continues to love him, and always falls for the same guy?

Always love yourself first! Second never allow a man to put you down or mistreat you for all the money in the world and especially not for a loser without a job! Value yourself and know you are worth everything your heart desires. Show outsiders looking in that you are a strong woman and you know your worth…
