Another Birthday!!! A couple of girls and I went to dinner to celebrate my friend Kesha’s Birthday! She never makes a fuss about anything so we decided to do something special together to let her know she’s loved. 

It’s always good to show the people close to you that they are appreciated. It is not everyday that you find real friends that hang in there for years thru all of life’s ups and downs. So, when it’s time to celebrate a good friend, I’m all in.

We had a great time. It was a prime location with a breathtaking view of the city. The weather was perfect and it was a beautiful night out. Here’s what I wore…Cheers!

 I have loved ones all over the world that I miss so much. I’m sending a love letter to someone that’s always in my heart. If you haven’t wrote a loved one that doesn’t live near, you should try it. Many times we feel like we can just call but, there is nothing more memorable and sentimental than a letter. They will cherish it.

I’ve come to the realization that everyone needs someone. I went to one of my best friend’s sister’s bridal shower (congrats Va) and I had so much fun! My favorite game was the wedding dress game where you had to make your own wedding dress out of tissue paper. Everyone was divided into teams to see who could come up with the best design. Of course, the team I was on won. 🙂 Hence, this has become my favorite bridal shower game! Our dress was beautiful.

A team effort makes a big difference in anything you do in life. Our team worked together efficiently. No one was overbearing which allowed for everyone to contribute to the masterpiece. And wala(!), it was a perfect win on a perfect day. 

At times, we all want to be the (star) center of attention but I have learned the importance of kicking back and playing your position. One that only you can play. Everyone can’t be the captain of the ship but the beauty of it all is that each person has something unique and essential to bring to the table. That is what makes you you. 

Enjoy your gift and respect the gifts that others have. This is what makes a good team. At the end of the day, you can accomplish more with team-players and with less effort if everyone does their part.

Today is earth day and I have to say in the past couple of years I’ve tried to do more things to contribute towards putting my carbon foot print in this world. I’ve been recycling for the past year (I always said who has time for this) and that’s because of my daughter (Maya). She is so concerned about global warming and animals. I learn a lot from her.

Loving stripes lately. I had stripes on today and I met a beautiful young lady that was saying she liked my top but, she said she couldn’t wear it cause she was “fat”. I don’t like that word. We are all beautiful in God’s eyes. Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone looked a like. I love meeting new people and letting them know just how beautiful they are. Some people are so beautiful and don’t even know it…

Tip of the day: make someone smile(pay them a compliment) :), and recycle (well at least try)!!!

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of request for advice on how to achieve the perfect spring look. In my opinion, spring has so many meanings. So many, that I couldn’t just sum it up simply. I think spring  is color, flowing skirts, polka dots, clean, airy, whimsical pieces that make you feel comfortable and free. What I recommend is to find something that screams at you and go from there. Here are a few items I picked up last week. I’m so in love with putting on something that I feel good in because it always shows my confidence (my clothes talk to me). 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for all the beautiful comments.

 White make’s you feel fabulous on a beautiful spring day. It’s the season purest shade. This dress was given to me by a very good friend of mine (thanks friend).

 Had a pretty cool weekend did some spring shopping (finally) and let’s just say more colors to come. My shopping buddy and I do some serious damage when we’re together! We trust each other’s opinion so, us together means$$$$ (I deserve it, I work hard).

Thought of the day: I love it when a person could take responsibility for their own actions and stands strong no matter what. 

Tip of the day: Sunscreen is a MajorMustHave.  Believe it or not, UV rays ALWAYS have the potential to damage your skin….even on the cloudiest day. Too much exposure to the sun can also cause wrinkles and premature aging. I know. I know. Summer is coming (always thinking ahead)… who can resist those beautiful days at the beach??? Especially since we’ve spent so much time getting our bodies “beach ready”!!!  Apply sunscreen daily! This will protect your skin always. I LOVE sunny days.

 I went to lunch with a good friend. I enjoyed catching up with her. She always makes me laugh and she is just as obsessed with fashion as I am. We spent the day sharing new ideas and new finds. Don’t you love it when girls can hang out and Laugh Out Loud?!? Have a great weekend. Stay tuned!!!:)
