Sometimes people think of life as a competition and in that thought process you begin to worry about what others are thinking instead of worrying about yourself. We have to be confident in ourselves and thankful for the things around us. I sometimes get upset about the smallest things, then I check myself or my husband will tell me relax it’s ok (funny because I use to tell him that) I then calm down and ask God to help me chill and not to sweat the small stuff so I can focus all my positive energy on the dreams I want to accomplish without looking back.
Tip of the day: Sometimes when you are telling others what to do you need to tell yourself.

I bought this dress 9 months ago and finally wore it. The night was perfect. Hope you guys have an incredible week.
It has literally been 106* and up for the past week in a half and I really haven’t felt like leaving my house. Yesterday I had a lunch meeting so I threw this dress on and my favorite heels and headed out.

He carries our weight on his shoulders, he gives his all, he’s loyal, the friend you wish you had, the husband I thank God for every night.
We’ve been together 9 years and It hasn’t been perfect but when it’s not perfect he knows just the perfect thing to do to show me that he will always consider my feelings and fight for our marriage even when my demands seem a bit irrational. I feel like our relationship has been tested in almost everyway. He knows I love him and will always be loyal to him. His qualities are everything that I love in a man. I love that he’s private, doesn’t show off and will stand behind anything that he does. He’s a great dad, husband and always does thoughtful things for us. I always feel safe when he’s around me because he protects us and treasures his family. He really inspires me and surprises me everyday.
I just wanted to let him know how much he means to me. I’m convinced he was created for me.

A lot of people sit around and compare themselves to others and this is very unhealthy. We have all done it at one point in our lives, but I’ve realized that everyone is different and beautiful in their own way. It’s is up to us to embrace and love ourselves so we can find a purpose here on earth, then we’ll feel more fulfilled. Once this is done there is no room for comparing because you’ll then be too busy following your path, not anyone else’s.
Tip of the day: Compare yourself to your previous self…you’ll see the progress in You.

Salmon, Asparagus, and White Rice:
Salmon- Season with lemon pepper, old bay, pepper and sea salt. I let it sit for a couple hours after I season. I also take a brush and put butter on it after it is thoroughly cooked for presentation as well as taste. Fish tends to look dry when you cook it so this helps. It melts over the fish and gives a shiny looking texture.
Asparagus- Sprinkle balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper…mix.
Rice- cook as much as desired. I always add real butter and sea salt to my rice.
Cook everything on the grill. I melt butter, teriyaki sauce and Korean bb-q sauce in a bowl and brush on as desired. Not everyone in my family likes it so I leave it at the table for whoever does.

Summer Must Haves:
-Floral pants. They are on sale everywhere so buy and store for next year.
-Wedges. Any color
-Neon. Necklaces and bracelets are great.
-Striped everything. I just ordered a stripped comforter. I love stripes.
-Polka dots. They are everywhere. You can also transition those prints into fall.

Have you ever been so in love with an item that you wore it two days in a row? This top was the one that did it for me. Its versatile, comfortable and it was perfect for the hot weather. To top it all off I purchased it from Target! Both outfits without accessories were under $50.

My family and I went to dinner the other night and no matter how hot the day’s are, the evenings tend to get a bit chilly, so a light coat or a cashmere scarf is always necessary. When I want to stay warm yet still season appropriate I wear jeans with a bright colored blouse. Although I wear colors all year I make sure to get the most use out them them in the summer season. This is what I wore.
I’ve been on the hunt for statement necklaces and cute shoes that doesn’t cost to much for my $100 and under post for next month. I’m in love with this one (here) so far. As far as cute shoes Hunter Wellies caught my eye.

I’ve had a mirrored desk and jewelry chest for a couple years now. I love everything mirrored. If my husband didn’t think it was too girly I would have the night stands and the dresser to match. I wanted to match these candle holders to my desk. Check out what I did…
I first spray painted them silver.
I then glued stones around the accent parts of the candle holder. These candlestick holders are a must to any home. Hope you enjoyed…
Don’t let anyone or any situation crush your dreams. I come up with new dreams I want to pursue all the time. When I’m chasing after one of my dreams I put my heart and soul into it so it can manifest.
I remember when I wanted to do real estate, it was when I bought my first house. I started asking my agent questions and next thing you know I was in school and ended up selling a house with him as his assistant. It was completely my deal. Although I finished school I would have sold more homes and went on to take my test if it wasn’t for me letting that agent discourage me. He stole my client and I was hurt. He never paid me. I couldn’t believe I’ve done so much work and here he comes in to take the credit and reap the benefits. I never heard from him again, but believe me his karma caught up with him. I also ran into the client again and I never told her what happened. She even went on to purchase more homes with this agent and I just left it alone. I quit. I was 22 years old then, but still find myself placed in the same situations time and time again.
I will never let anyone get the power over me and ever discourage me to quit ever again. Especially if you know you’ve worked hard on something, you have to fight for it. I use to think “wow does the evil get rewarded”, but I checked myself. You will get everything that God has in store for you even if it takes a little longer than you planned. You never have to step on anyone or take anything away from anyone, JUST NEVER GIVE UP on faith in YOURSELF!!! What’s meant for you will be yours, but never give someone the power to discourage you from the things you want to do…even if it’s just one of your temporary dreams.
Tip of the day: Consistently remind yourself not to give up…
