When you want something really bad it takes a lot of work.

I think that I’ve worked pretty hard to get to some of the things that I want. Recently I’ve discovered that I haven’t been using my full potential to obtain certain goals that I’ve set for myself because I’m always too busy pleasing others. I’d like to think that it’s as simple as answering a question, but when things get repetitive (questions all day) it can kinda be a bit overwhelming so I have chosen to take some time to myself. I know I put myself out there so I don’t have the option of complaining. I’m still very much a giving person especially to my loved ones and the people I encounter including the friends I’ve made here thus far.

People look into your life and see you smiling and would never know your story. They see the outside things and automatically think your life is great and sometimes people even get mean. I have learned to deal with people in general in the past couple of years because this was when I saw them for who they are. I wish that the world was more compassionate. No one should look at you and judge you on the things you wear and automatically dislike you. They don’t know the sacrifices you’ve made or the heartache you’ve probably had to deal with in your life.  Maybe it’s just your blessing because you try to do right by everyone that enters into your life.

I have so much to be thankful for.

 I plan on turning my comments off for the next couple of months to focus on my family and travel. The comments sometimes distract me. I need to get back into the real reason why I started this blog. I might never turn them back on, but at least I can blog without any opinions for a while and although it’s a little selfish, I feel like I deserve that right now. I always want to help and I give so much.  Everyone wants to just take take take, and it starts to drain you. I hope you enjoy this post because I put my all into every single one of them…

Things I’m currently obsessed with:

1. YSL in Voeca 7. I love their lip glosses because they feel like you’re putting silk on your lips.

2. Bobby Brown Nougat 41. I love this color to just put on all day and it doesn’t leave my lips dry. It’s very sheer.

3. Mac underage A 41. Love this color for date night. 

4. Loral Fairest Nude 800. I like this inexpensive nude. I put this on and add the Bobby Brown gloss over it.

5. Great Lash by Maybelline. I love the brush on this.

6. Lorac Blush/Bronzer Duo in Hot Flash. I’m in love with this. I have to stop myself from wearing it everyday!

7. Clarisonic Mia Skin cleansing system. This leaves my face feeling soft and smooth.

8. Prada Infusion. I love this as my everyday perfume because it stands out and doesn’t smell too sweet.

9. Essie nail polish in Fiji. I’ve been wearing this for years. Everyone around me wears this color now. My husband loves this color on my toes. I get three coats and make sure to let it dry with out closed toe shoes  for at least 24 hours.

10. Ultimate brushes that were inexpensive and colorful.

 I’ve had a couple people tell me that when they came to my site that what I wrote was quite lengthy. I then proceed to tell them some people come to at look at the fashion, others come to read along with the fashion, but they have a choice.
I actually considered not writing here anymore and just focusing on fashion because that’s really what I love. I thought to myself “I can scribble in my journal if I feel like writing what’s on my mind.” Then I assessed all the beautiful emails I get weekly from my readers saying that I give them hope and a different outlook on life and decided I’ll continue on my journey for now and keep jotting down my thoughts.
 
Everyone wants to know what designer clothing they should splurge on. As we are approaching summer find  key essentials  to fall in love with. Even if it’s not the quality you want, buy it if you like the style until you find a piece that matches both incompatibility and price.
 
1. Floppy hat. I think that everyone needs a hat for those hot days and ladies we must protect our skin from those damaging sun rays.
 

2.  Flats. Now I love wearing open toe shoes because my husband loves my toes, but when you are going for walks it’s sometimes nice to have your feet covered to prevent all the dust that gets into your toes. Eye boat shoes work well with a stripped shirt and shorts for a nautical look.

 
3. Wedges.  These give you a little height but at the same time add comfort. I love to lengthen my legs so I mostly go for the wedge when faced with a dilemma on wanting to wear heels.
 
4. Lastly we all need colored denim. Every year you’ll see this “trend repeat itself so it’s great to invest in a couple pairs. Throw on a pair with a crispy white tank and a pair of your favorite heels and you’ll be good to go.

Classic Story

classic storyHave you ever tried to help someone, be nice, show them the ropes on things you’ve experienced before them to help polish up some things in their life as they listen with open ears(?) Then the inevitable happens, they turn around and act like they are better than you, “I been this way” like they already had their stuff together. The competitive streak comes out that was laying dormant all along. Sometimes I think about it and say “wow” people really do take my kindness for weakness, but in the end it’s just envy. Bottom line is I try to help people from my heart. I don’t do it for accolades or a pat on the back…so I win always.

Those that do things with ulterior motives have to look in the mirror everyday and face themselves. I’m never going to change. I’ll always be blessed.  So will you if you always share things from the heart.
