Trench Coat Classic extra
I wore this to dinner with my family last night. It was pretty cold so I wore this soft trench coat over my dark denim which created a classic look. A trench coat is a majormusthvae so add that to your list if you don’t own one and give your wardrobe an extra lift.
The rain won’t seem to go away in Cali. I love the rain except for when I have to drive to work in it.

I’ve been really busy so sorry for the lack of updates. I don’t have anything on my mind today so I’ll just let you check out the fashion.

1. off to work, 2. spending time with my god son/cousin on his bday, 3. early dinner date with client (clearly overdressed, but she knows I live to dress up), 4. lunch with my favorite cousins in the rain, 5. movie night, 6. lunch with my favorite aunty.
Two friends of mine are going through a rough time in their life right now. As much as I try to be there for them and reassure them that things will be ok, the only peace they can really have is for them to know that God doesn’t put more on you that you can bear. I’m a witness! You don’t see clearly when going through your storm most of the time, but in the end is when you analyze, learn and move on.
Whatever my friends go through I would never share with anyone else. I learned that the hard way when I was younger. First of all it’s personal, and second why would I want to tell anyone about a misfortune of my friend! Even if my enemy (I don’t have many) went through a rough patch I still wouldn’t wish anything but luck to that person. But some are evil and love to see others hurt. EVIL people get pleasure out of kicking others when they’re down. I’m positive you’ll never win in life being this way!:(
No matter what happens in your life, know that things will smoothen itself out eventually. Never wish bad things upon anyone even if they’ve done something to you in the past. When you remember to always do what’s right by others you will always be on the winning side even when it seems your not because you’re going through a rough patch.:)
Last year my family and I went down to the Anne Douglas Center at the Los Angeles Mission and volunteered to stuff backpacks for their annual End of Summer Block Party. The Anne Douglas Center (ADC) has a program that serves homeless women or women fighting addiction or abuse, providing shelter, meals, & clothing. The women live at the ADC for one year and after they graduate, the ADC continues to provide them with the necessary tools to re-enter back into society. A friend of mines runs the eBay program at the Anne Douglas Center where they sell clothing on eBay to raise money for the homeless shelter. The eBay program they have teaches the women the basics of running an online business.
Generous women donate clothing to this eBay program. When I was contacted by my friend, she informed that the women were discouraged because they thought the clothing were too old and they didn’t think anyone would buy the clothes if they listed it on eBay. My friend that runs the program follows my blog and shared it with the women in the program so she sent me over a couple of pieces so I can give them ideas on how vintage clothing can be reworked into a wardrobe since that’s mainly what’s donated.
I wish these women much success. This is the vintage Oscar del la Renta sequins sweater that they sent over to me. I’m so in love with it. I’ll be showing you more pieces soon. tip of the day: Just because something is old doesn’t mean it still isn’t beautiful!
Last year I wanted to work on my patience and as time went on I’ve realized that I’ve reached my goal with my tolerance level. Now I have discovered something new that I need to work on and that’s blocking that inner voice that’s constantly having my mind at worry. It’s a constant struggle for me and it comes in spurts. Some months can go by and I’m fine , but then I’ll have those weeks in between that I’m worried about everything around me. It’s like I can’t turn my brain off! I guess it’s because I’m constantly reevaluating my life seeing what I can do to improve it and learning the power of the words that exit my lips. I want to think more before I speak. Sometimes I just vocalize what’s on my mind too much, but what I’m thinking isn’t for everyone’s ears or isn’t meant to be released into the universe…I’m just working on me.
Tip of the day: There is always something we can work on to make ourselves better.

And finally, this is her everyday style. Confidence is what creates a glow that then allows people to even notice you. Just because you have designer clothing doesn’t mean you have style. To prove this I’m doing a $100 outfit post from head to toe once a month. My daughter is 6 and has so much confidence that it makes her glow. We all have confidence in ourselves, but kids don’t go around comparing themselves with other so they are so free and happy. A simple smile on your face shows confidence which in my opinion is more beautiful than any designer label.
Tip of the day: Add a little bit of confidence to your wardrobe!
I’ve had a lot of milestones in my life ever since I was a young girl and I’ve realized if you just take things one day at a time you’ll cross each and everyone smiling.:)
The more I smile the more people pick at me, but that’s because they think they are getting a stab at me, but I catch it, store in and treat them accordingly.
In my past I would probably call someone straight out and that would definitely cause a conflict, futhermore I’ve realized that it’s not worth it. I’m not falling for it boo…:(
I know that all the obstacles that have come my way has caused me to sit back, analyze and just keep living for me and not anyone else!!!

SMILE… IT’S EASY!
I feel that genuinely I’m a nice person to everyone. When I’m around people and a stranger walks up to me to speak I don’t care how they look, I’m speaking because I’m a polite person. A couple of people have asked me why do you have to speak to everyone, I tell them why not. I’m not better than anyone plus I’m just a respectful person towards everyone.
My youngest daughter is the same way. We are almost identical as far as kindness. I worry about her as she grows because she is so sweet and I already see how even as a kid, people will take your kindness for weakness. She wants to share with everyone and she will play with any and everyone because she loves people like me. She also never tells on anyone if they do something to her, you’ll just see her sitting there sad. 🙁 Her mothers child…
My oldest daughter is a tough one and I think that’s due to me having her at a young age, so we basically grew up together. I remember when she was in kindergarten and a little boy kept messing with her and she said “mom he better leave me alone.” I said just ignore him as long as he doesn’t touch you just ignore him. One day when I picked her up the teacher said that she knocked the little boy out. I couldn’t believe it! I thought she would be kicked out of the school but the teacher said he had it coming he wouldn’t leave her alone. Although violence isn’t the answer as I’ve told her, I then knew that I wouldn’t have to worry about anyone messing with her. But she also has a big heart. She has balance:).
Sometimes I wonder why people are so mean and conniving. Even when you think someone is your friend they’ll be mean. Everyone is always worried about what the next person is doing which causes people to be resentful. I’m happy for anyone that’s doing great in their life especially if it’s my friend! No one wants to play fair in life anymore! You know why I’m blessed (it has nothing to do with money it’s a inner peace which keeps me smiling no matter what), because I depend on God! When a evil person thinks they are getting ahead they aren’t, so don’t worry about them, focus on YOU!
Tip of the day: When you have a good heart you will always be ok no matter what!:)

Be creative
I really love this man made holiday because it gives me a reason to show my other half how in love with him I am. I never take this day lightly. Some think it’s corny but I’m extremely romantic and I’ve taught him to be the same way so it’s really fun to see the creative things that we do for one another. Of course he buys the best gifts so that will be one of the highlights of my evening. Have a great Valentine’s Day everyone!
