can you take a quick picture for me….
Hope you guys are having a great week. I have been a little busy. My ankle feels much better considering I gave it no choice because I had plenty to do.
I need to come up with something new. I haven’t had time to focus on my pictures and with my days getting busier, I don’t have the time most days, that’s why I’ve been snapping a couple on the way out the door. I know a lot of you look forward to my posts, that’s why I try to update as much as I can. Thanks for being so understanding! See you soon.

the way you see yourself is how you’ll be…

“Do, or do not. There is no ‘try’.” – Yoda “Don’t stay in bed, unless you can make money in bed.” – George Burns “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” – Thomas Henry Huxley”Everybody pities the weak; jealousy you have to earn.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein

under $100
Yesterday I wore this to grab dinner. These pants were really cute when I first put them on, but then they loosened up which I hate. I know they’ll bounce back after they are cleaned, but I love it when I find a great pair of pants that holds tight all day.

Wearing: Zara Top, F21 Pants.

classic story…
Why don’t people value when they meet a good person. They act as if though they come a dime a dozen. Two people that I really love got hurt by people that they thought was their friend. One is young and one is older and it tells you that some people never grow. I went on to tell them how I’ve learned to deal with this type of situation.
– Know that God gives challenges to leaders.
– when things are going right in your life, the devil will use someone that you love or care about to test you.
– challenges will always be there to overcome, and when you overcome them with a smile and dignity, the rainbow will be waiting.
– never get mad, it’s ok to be sad for a while, but try not to even talk about the person. Most times this person realizes what he or she has done and almost always apologizes.
– never lose your press for life over others. People will always disappoint, but look up cause God never does. This should make you work harder. God removed them because they don’t deserve you, nor do they deserve any of your blessings.
Have a great weekend…

it all boils down to feeling loved…
Plants are living things that need love and attention to live and be beautiful. I love my plant, but sometimes I neglect it and it shows. Here are some easy ways to show your plant some love…
I have outdoor plants even though they say not to use them inside (they can die so don’t follow me), I still do. I also use Miracle Grow in my plants every couple weeks.
I wipe my plants off every couple of weeks. They feel the love and begin to blossom. My husband has what they call “green thumb” so he does the watering once a week. I sometimes use a lot of ice and let them melt slowly. This prevents your plant from getting over watered.

Trim the dead leaves off and the brown edges.
good-bye dead leaves…
Finally, you’ll have a beautiful plant to bring you great feng shui to any part of your home.

“Leadership is influence”
He is real…
I’ve noticed whenever my husband and I are out of town or at a nice restaurant and we see another black man, that man 99% of the time makes his way to him to say hello boss, or hello brother to make acknowledgment of black man. If black women are around one another (not all), they begin to get quite, won’t crack a smile and there’s that awkward feeling that everyone around can feel. I’ve known plenty women that has experienced this and it’s a classic story, furthermore it has nothing to do with what you have or how you look, it’s your special presence that some people can’t seem to stomach. We as women, should try to acknowledge and uplift one another. If you’re not happy with the way the other person does their thing because you don’t care for it, still try to be kind.
I read Gabrielle Union’s speech she gave at the Essence’s Black women In Hollywood’s Luncheon and was left with chills. She is such an admirable woman to give herself like that, share her imperfections and be so vulnerable. It is essential for powerful women like her to be a example and let us as women know, that life is a journey and none of us are perfect. Not one of us!

Gabrielle Union’s Speech Below:
“We live in a town that rewards pretending. I had been pretending to be fierce and fearless for a very long time. I was a victim masquerading as a survivor. I stayed when I should have run. I was quiet when I should have spoken up. I turned a blind eye to injustice instead of having the courage to stand up for what’s right. I used to shrink in the presence of other dope beautiful women. I used to revel in gossip and rumors, and I lived for the negativity inflicted upon my sister actresses or anyone who I felt whose shine diminished my own.
It’s easy to pretend ‘to be fierce and fearless because living your truth takes real courage. Real fearless and fierce women admit mistakes and they work to correct them. We stand up and we use our voices for things other than self promotion. We don’t stand by and let racism and sexism and homophobia run rapid on our watch. Real fearless and fierce women complement other women and we recognize and embrace that their shine in no way diminishes our light and that it actually makes our light shine brighter.
So many of us in this room are sisters. We don’t always get to see each other and its good to see you here today. Women who we’ve laughed with, cried with, and struggled with, thank you for not turning your back on me, thank you for not tap dancing on my misery, even when I wasn’t always returning the favor.”

Have a great day!
