Homemade cookies by my oldest baby girl, she’s the best…Errands…At girlfriends house waiting… I love fresh flowers…Workout…Valentine’s Day Vibes…My husband’s idea of a surprise (I love him) best soul food ever from Delicious Southern Cuisine…This is what I was drinking last Saturday night. Vanilla Puddin is the best wine ever! So tasty and smooth. I first discovered it when I had lunch at Crustacean. I’m normally a Cabernet girl, but now I drink this, too. I’m hooked.

So I think that it is safe to say that it’s time to start thinking about transitioning into spring. It’s been in the 75-80 degree range here and although we have some cooler days, it’s basically almost summer for us. I’ve tried to wear more coats and layers per some of your request due to colder climates where you live. So, this is how we will make the smooth shift, add a bit more color to our denim. Colored denim is a great piece all year round, but is especially great to stay warm with a coat or a denim shirt like I’m wearing today. I have a serious obsession with a well fitted pair of white jeans. I bought these Guess embellished white jeans two years ago and never wore them. They actually fit perfect. They have a thick stretch to them, and the side embellish adds just the right amount of detail. I tried to find a similar pair for you guys, but no luck. I have so much on my mind so you know I have to share it with you guys. Today I want to talk about happiness, pure happiness. Sometimes we compromise our happiness for money, our job, a tenant, or even a boyfriend you might live with. What ever the case may be, nothing is worth your happiness. God will bless you regardless if you just have a little faith.

I’m not the one to talk, see just a couple of months back I too dealt with someone in my space due to money and being too comfortable, but the truth is I wasn’t happy. I didn’t even want to deal with it because I was fearful of money, confrontation, and really worried about my good standing name. But I stepped out on faith and fixed the situation because my happiness is priceless and my faith is stronger than it’s ever been. Besides, God has already blessed me in more ways than I could have even imagined as soon as I let the situation go.

I’ve learned not to depend on man but to depend on God. Furthermore, wouldn’t it be better to have a little less and have a smile on your face. You will be much more useful to the people around you once you remove all negativity out of your life. Hopefully you guys will put your happiness first and step out on faith.

Tip of the day: I’m not worried about anything.Let’s talk about my look. I’m in love with this red leather biker jacket. I try to wear it with everything, but when I got these boots I knew that they would marry well.

I know I always talk about classic pieces and I’m trying to wear them more to give you more examples of why they are classic pieces. That’s what I want to focus on this year. We will invest in classics, and pick up trendy items here and there.

A v-neck Sweater is a great classic piece to have. I use it mostly to layer (as I did with my go to fur vest) because it’s warm, yet still fitted so makes it easy. The plunge in a v-neck sweater also adds a bit of sexy to your look. I also love a v-neck sleeveless sweater to wear over a crisp collared shirt. J.Crew sells the best light weight sweaters here.

Denim is one of the main components in my wardrobe because I wear them so much. It could be dressed up or down so it’s important that you find a couple of pairs that suit your body type. We all need that go to item that never fails us, and let’s face it jeans always does the trick. We could be 5 lbs. up or down. Jeans can be used in ways to camouflage our problem areas when worn correctly. Life can get the best of us and if we don’t find the little things that help us quiet the mind we would all be a wreck. When I have a long stressful day I love to come home light a candle, run myself a bubble bath, take a couple deep breaths and relax. I take myself away from everything that’s crowding my head. I usually imagine myself in Hawaii or at a spa. Bath and body works stress relief products always soothes my mind. The eucalyptus aromatherapy stress relief candle is a must in my home, but when I tried the other stress relief products, I feel in love with the entire line and I can’t live without it. For the past couple weeks I’ve drunk this every morning. It taste really good now that I’ve figured out what makes a perfect combo, at least for my taste buds.

The Nutri Bullet has become my best friend. It’s easy, functional and chops everything up I put inside smoothly. Unlike juicers that remove some of the pulp in your fruit and veggies, this can blend it all up perfectly to make sure you don’t waste or lose a thing. Here’s what you’ll need. Spinach, frozen pineapple, blueberries, banana, and a little orange juice to give your fruit smoothie a silky consistency. Perfection!Enjoy!

I decided to do a 21 day fast to get closer to God. I’m eating fruits and vegetables only. I have to admit it’s been tough, but what’s been the worst challenge of it all is how the devil attacks you in ways that you wouldn’t believe, especially when you’re serious.

I’m fasting so that I can be affective to all the people around me and get my purpose back. I’ve been really relaxed and I’m a huge example to people around me so I want to make it count. I’ve been put through the ringer since the day I started and things are just starting to calm down although I’m ready for war. Someone I loved even made a huge mistake which required me to stay on my knees and at the end of the day to see the bright side of it, I had her take it as a learning lesson. We all make mistakes and as long as you’re humble and truly ask for forgiveness, it is forgotten. I also have to make difficult changes for the better of my business that I really don’t want to because I’m always playing it safe and that’s how I know this fast is making me stronger. It’s allowing me not to be afraid of the unknown and to stand tall in my decisions, beliefs and my feelings. When you know who you are and your intentions nothing else matters. No one else matters. Whatever anyone thinks about you or your family doesn’t matter. We just have to continue to draw closer to God, have faith knowing that He has our backs. I know great things are in store.

That’s been my story for the past two weeks. I’m done Feb. 1. Wish me luck as I continue. I’ll keep you updated. On a fashion note, I’m loving this Rag & Bone Fedora. It blocks the LA sun but still has a wintery vibe to it. Unlike most fedoras this one is lightweight, comfortable and isn’t to structured. You guys should defiantly try this one from Rag & Bone.
